Thursday's Headlines | Avengers: Endgame News

Fandango reported yesterday morning that in its first seven days of presales, Avengers: Endgame sold five times as many tickets as Avengers: Infinity War sold in its first seven days of presales.

Remember, presale demand doesn't necessarily reflect overall demand 1:1, and differences can also be due to changes to how moviegoers purchase presale tickets.

Fandango also announced what they call other "notable achievements" for Endgame on their service.

Thousands of showtimes are already sold-out across the country.
- Fandango’s exhibition partners are continually posting new showtimes (some as early as 4:00 am and 6:30 am Friday, April 26) and adding new screens to meet fan demand.
- Endgame holds the record for Fandango’s best first week and first day of presales, besting Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
- On Monday and Tuesday of this week, Endgame was their top daily ticket-seller, outselling every film currently in release.

Of course, the online ticket service reminds that despite the sellouts and demand, tickets for Endgame's opening weekend are still available.

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see a record amount of fans reporting sick to work or taking the day off on Friday, April 26 because they’ll be attending opening day screenings of Avengers: Endgame," said Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis in a press release. “Even though Endgame has sold out thousands of showtimes, there are still plenty of tickets still available on Fandango for the year’s most anticipated movie.”

Avengers: Endgame opens April 26 in North America in most of the world between April 24 and 26.
