Friday's Headlines | Comic-Con Museum News

This is huge news! $554,516 was raised for the Comic-Con Museum during its Comic-Con International: San Diego Preview night event on July 24.

"The Gathering," which included Batman's induction into the facility's Hall of Fame, brought in the money through sponsorships, ticket sales, auctions, and a paddle-raise.

Guests to the Wednesday event were able to take in a preview of the museum in the form of a pop-up exhibit, as well as a program which included remarks by San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer, actors Diedirch Bader and David Mazouz, and DC executives Pam Lifford, Jim Lee, and Dan DiDio.

According to the museum, 21,638 visitors came to the pop-up over the course of Comic-Con International: San Diego. An opening date for the museum itself has not been announced.
