Shania, My Dog.
It has been a very hard week for me, as this week we had to put down our long time companion Shania down. She lived an amazing 15 years with my family and myself. The reason I'm talking about her, today is because she was my comic book buddy.
She loved jumping in the truck and would head down to Things From Another World in Beaverton, Oregon. She would patiently wag her tail waiting for me, as I will get my books we would head back home. She would snuggle with me as I read each comic book.
We all love our animals, we have maybe dogs or cats in our lives or any other pets that we love to read books with. They gave us comfort in any means their happy in our lives.
Shania was my comfort but I enjoyed reading my books with my dog. She's gone now and they have an emptiness. I walk into the room where I think she'll be and she's gone.... it hurts. It's troubling to figure out how to pick up the pieces?
I hate losing my dog, losing my friend and losing that companionship. I know she's resting and not suffering. How I do you heal the heart?
I want to show you that there's a real human being here and this human being misses his dog. Shania was a one of a kind and I love her. So to all the comic book lovers, animal lovers today or tonight take your time and hug those furry little creatures. Tell me them you love them.
To Shania... my dog. I love you and miss you.
